84/365 : That Seagull is Green.

Today’s photo is a rather unexpected one. I went to see a movie with my wife (The Hunger Games) in Brampton. Before the show, we wandered around the “power centre” that the theatre is located within. Walking back from Mark’s, we were passing in front of the Stitches store and my ear was tuned to the sounds all the spring birds were making as they hung out on the sign above. One of these birds sounded familiar, but not the typical southern Ontario variety. So I looked up, and sure enough there was a green bird – a member of the parrot family and most definitely not a local variety. I figure he(?) was hanging out on the sign to take advantage of the heat from the sign’s lighting system. Most likely an escaped pet, and hopefully someone will coax him inside before the next winter arrives.
