303/365: Hello Sandy!

While we’re nowhere near as affected as places like New York City or New Jersey, we are seeing some effects from Hurricane Sandy here in the Toronto area. I took these photos tonight just as the storm was making landfall hundreds of kilometres away. The location is right by the Burlington Skyway Bridge in Hamilton, Ontario. At the time we were seeing 60kph winds and I managed to sneak out between rain bands. The waves are a good size here but shooting at night blurs them out. The weather is supposed to get more fickle through the night as Sandy comes ashore, drops to post-tropical storm, then depression as she makes her way toward us.
