Sea of Tranquility

Our campfire on Murray Lake as we watched the sun set. A perfect calm on our little lake and a great time to sit by the fire with a coffee mug and some friends. Camping in Killarney Provincial Park, May 2015.

Sunset on Murray Lake

The sun sets on our Murray Lake campsite after our day on Nellie Lake. This site is right off the Notch Creek / Nellie Lake portage. Lilipads dot the lake, as it is rather shallow and quite marshy toward the east end of the lake. Killarney Provincial Park

Snow Angels are Grand

My friend Pam had some fun while we were photographing the Elora Gorge as well. Here, she’s making snow angels on the frozen Grand River.

Country Road During Freezing Drizzle

I decided to take the back roads to head to Elora during today’s freezing drizzle event. I find freezing drizzle is pretty good for photography as it produces a hoar frost like effect rather than thick ice. When I got to this spot I just had to stop for a couple shots.

Elora Mill in Winter

A view of the Elora Mill from the river downstream of the falls. Fortunately the water is hard enough to stand on today.
