108/365 : Out of Gas.

The west half of Brampton is being urbanized at the moment. That leads to big changes, and lots of abandoned structures waiting to make way for new houses and businesses. Here, we have the former Sunoco gas station at Mississauga Road and Steeles. It used to house a Country Style donuts as well but the new Esso across the street pretty much killed this off. There is a business park creeping up on the station and I suspect this will disappear before long. 

For the image – this is a 9 exposure (-4 EV to +4 EV) image processed to HDR and tone mapped. The sky was pulled back in from one of the exposures to get that punch on the outline of the sun’s rays while preserving the overall luminosity for the rest of the image. Shooting straight into the sun at f/16 also told me one more important thing … it’s time to clean my DSLR sensor again…
