306/365: Shelled.

I’m back with my reflection template again – plexiglas and flashlight. This time I got clever and started blocking off the light with some books, acting as “barn doors” to shape the light. I also decided to use one of my film lenses so this one’s a little higher resolution than the leaf was. The dust bits actually fell off the shell and frankly the work involved in placing the shell always knocked off more dust so I left it. What’s interesting is that this shell isn’t from the ocean (that I know of). Sandy didn’t blow it in from the east coast either – I found it about two months ago in the Credit River in Caledon, while out hiking. I’ll wash it up and try another photo later in the project. For now, here’s a reflection on the plexiglas pretty much as I found it.
