63/365 : Weakest Link.
Not what I expected to post for the day, but that’s the best part about a photo project. It’s not always what’s planned out so keep an eye open for other opportunities, lest you miss the proverbial forest for the trees. Here’s the story – the day was very, very windy. So windy I actually lost a couple shingles off my roof. I decided that with all the wind, it would be a good time to head down to the lake and get a bunch of waves splashing about, or maybe one of those ethereal looking long exposures. The point I got to the lake was at Gairloch Gardens in Oakville. This is a fabulous little park flanked by the Oakville Galleries. When I got to the water I was a bit disappointed though. 1 foot waves didn’t lead to much splashing. Still, I made do and used the zoom to pull some action out of the waves. Kristen, my wife, was wandering around looking at other things while I was doing this. At one point she mentioned someone putting locks on that chain over there, and when I saw that it became the new focal point for my camera. Bit tricky taking a closeup photo of a lock in 100kph winds but managed to get a couple workable photos.
