Well, I ended out doing the retail thing on Boxing Day, but at least I had a latte handy. I love these little stir sticks that seal the Starbucks lids too.

This is my street after the ice storm that hit our area. At this point, we’ve got the lights back on and the snow cleared so we can start to appreciate some of the beauty that nature brought us as well.

This is the view after the second day of freezing rain. Norval at the time this photo was taken had no power and this is one of the few trees in town that got away undamaged.

Today our region experienced an ice storm, this is the first morning of freezing rain, and the statue at Dominion Gardens Park shows the ice that formed overnight. He sure looks cold!

This thistle in Milton is starting to gather ice as part of the night’s freezing rain. I’ve lit it with a flashlight while geocaching at night.
