This small waterfall hides the much more impressive spots just upstream. This is the entrance to the Paradise Pool of Temagami, on the western side on the way to Silvester Lake and Wolf Lake beyond.

Banff and Jasper are my favourite places in the world. This was my first trip here in winter, but alas as it was a business trip my expeditions out into these beautiful mountains was curtailed. This is a view from one of the many pull outs along Trans Canada 1 west of the townsite of Banff.

The famous Kicking Horse River, of Kicking Horse Pass. This is the scene from the Beaverfoot Road bridge just downstream from Wapta Falls (which I must come back and visit!). The river is rather peaceful here in winter.
