Fall colour is still here in Halton Hills, just barely. Pulled over and used my iPhone for a quick capture. I love scenes like this and I’m thankful to live in a place that includes them.

The water as it flows across the threshold at Recollet Falls on the French River. I spent a good amount of time just sitting here and taking it all in.

Finally stopped and did the hike to this waterfall on the French River. This river is about half way between Sudbury and Parry Sound, and there is a trail to hike to the falls from Highway 69. It’s about 3km round trip. When I’m back here paddling in the spring I am definitely making sure I portage around this.

Whitewater Lake is just west of Sudbury proper. Technically this is still the City of Greater Sudbury. I could think of a worse suburban address than this. I spotted this while hunting a geocache in Azilda after work.
