347/365: A wicked firestarter.

Elf (a local geocacher) spices up the fire, as Fizbot looks on, at her 12-12-12 “Twelve Hours of Campfire” geocaching event to commemorate the repeating date. Geocachers around the world got together at events or hunted for a geocache on the day to earn a “souvenir” from the site.

346/365: Rural Brampton at Night.

Just a view looking back at Brampton from Mayfield and Mississauga Road. I am a big fan of the after sunset type photo, and this is a good couple hours after sunset. The farm pictured here is actually silhouetted against Brampton’s city lights. Based on the development happening around here, this farm likely won’t be here at all in a few years – it’ll be replaced with suburbia.

345/365: Latté Noir.

Once again, we have a tired Latté cat sleeping on her favourite chair. Still, she keeps an eye on me, particularly when I have the camera out.

344/365: Purrfect Christmas Tree.

Pixel the cat sleeps under her Christmas tree in Chatham. Soon, she’ll be sharing the spot with gifts, but for now it’s a nice spot for a snooze.

343/365: Neo, Wake Up.

This is going to be a popular store rack as Christmas approaches. All those iDevices need fuel, and one of those fuels is the media they consume. Here’s a whole whack of iTunes gift cards. Photo taken with, yup, an iPhone 5.

342/365: BFL Night.

For the last eight years or so, Friday night has been BFL night. I get together with geocaching friends and we head out in search of these hidden treasures. This week, our target caches were located in Kitchener/Waterloo. This photo is taken at the parking area for the caches – what makes it unique is that with my newer camera/lens combination, I was able to take it hand held, with nothing but ambient light from the city.

341/365: Candy Cane Closeup.

This is a closeup on one of the decorations at Dominion Gardens Park here in Georgetown. A few years ago the town established “Light Up The Hills” here and every year they add a few more lights. It’s already a great sight and it keeps getting better every year. Look for more photos from me before this 365 day project is done, I’ve got lots of opportunity here.

340/365: Mississauga’s Giant Snowflake.

Found myself in downtown Mississauga at night, and I remembered that they’ve always tended to put on a decent lighting display at City Hall. Found out they’ve pretty much rebuilt the courtyard since I lived in Mississauga and now it’s called “Celebration Square” that also encompasses the Library. Seems they are reusing the same decorations year-over-year now but at least the giant snowflake is back. Took this photo by placing my camera on the ground directly underneath the snowball/snowflake and triggered it with my remote cable.

339/365: Twilight over Toronto.

Today I flew back to Toronto from Moncton. Nice effect on the approach tonight, with the combination of lots of clouds, yet a break in the distance and a landing time at sunset. I just HAD to take photos of this view. I’m somewhere over North York or Markham around this point in the flight.

338/365: Terminal Silence.

Dropped by to pick up a co-worker at the Moncton Airport. It was fairly late in the day, so I had almost the entire terminal to myself. Here’s an iPhone 5 panorama of the terminal building.
