92/365 : Raindrops.

Yup, I’m being lazy today. Yesterday was one heck of a day for photos so I’m taking a breather today. What you’re looking at is the result of mist landing on the sunroof of my car in London, on my way back home.

91/365 : Belle View.

This is a view looking from the tip of Belle Isle, toward Windsor and Detroit’s downtown business districts. The Ambassador Bridge can be seen in the distance connecting them both.

Image is an HDR combined from 9 different photos taken on my D200 with a sturdy tripod.

90/365 : Dynamo.

The Barber Mill Dynamo on the Credit River near Georgetown was reputedly the first examples of hydro-electric power production in Canada for industrial use. The mill itself is three kilometers upstream. Photo is HDR/tonemapped from 9 exposures and converted to black and white with a simulated red filter in Aperture.

89/365 : Relaxing.

This is how I relax on a Thursday night. We watch Vampire Diaries then I read my e-book on my Kindle. Currently reading Foundation’s Edge by Asimov. Taken on my iPhone, processed in Snapseed.

88/365 : Beaver Meadow on the Credit River.

The theme for this week’s “Digital Photography School” challenge is “Black and White Landscape”. So, for my photo of the day, I decided to target just that. Here’s an HDR image from my D200 taken using a sturdy tripod and 9 photos. I was tempted to shoot in black and white directly in camera but I didn’t have a red filter handy so opted instead to do that in software. This scene is right off the Caledon Trailway, and a favourite location of mine due to how lazily this fork of the Credit flows past this spot. It’s always a peaceful place.

87/365 : Daffodil Trio.

Just got my GPS attachment for the D200, only cost me about $450 less than the official Nikon one (go figure). Considering it’s a bit of plastic and a $15 SiRF chip and has zero effect on optics, I’m quite happy with it. So today’s photo had to be outdoors. I went for the easy photo, by wandering around the Seed House Garden wondering what’s up this week. Answer: The daffodils.
