Explored the grounds around the Juniper Island Store on Stoney Lake during our houseboating trip. The entire area looked a bit post apocalyptic with occasional forgotten items – shoes, tomatoes, water bottles – making it look like the area was abandoned rather than simply closed for the season. This tennis court still had some tennis balls on the ground and brooms were outside, not stored. Some critter on the island has been trying to eat the tennis balls as we found several torn to pieces around the island.

Rented this houseboat on Pigeon Lake in the Kawarthas this week, with my wife and a couple friends. Here’s a view of it from an island with a geocache I visited while we were here. This lake is part of the Trent-Severn waterway and we had fun taking the boat through a few of the historic locks on the canal system.

Sunbeams highlight a couple trees in a farmer’s field near Little Britain, Ontario. I loved how the green grass leaped into view when the sunlight caught it.

Spent the day tubing on the Credit River again, so I had the waterproof camera today. This was spotted on the river on an island in the middle of Lionhead Golf Course.

Popped on the 50mm+Macro extension tubes for a closeup on some goldenrod I saw on the roadside. I also took a whole whack of landscape sunset photos while I was here.

This little stand appears every year just outside Georgetown. It’s a farmer’s market type stall but it’s 100% honour system. If you want some corn, you make a donation (which goes to a local charity). They refill it every morning from what I’ve seen driving by.

Stopped for a geocache in the rain as I made my way back home from Montréal today. This is at the Mallorytown ONRoute picnic area, which had these cows just over the fence paying very close attention to me as I wandered about.
